Employees earn LEED Green Associate credential

Congratulations to Mike Kinsella, Rachel Kornhauser, Tyra Olstad, Patrick Ryan and Terry Zimmer who recently earned the LEED Green Associate credential.  This group was the first to receive the credential out of 8 campus faculty and staff who participated in a training workshop funded by a PIF Clean Energy Workforce Development grant.

As credentialed professionals, this group possesses knowledge of green building practices and how to support others working on LEED projects to save energy, use fewer resources, reduce pollution and contribute to healthier environments for their occupants and the community. This group will help to continue SUNY Oneonta’s goal to build all new buildings and all substantial building renovations to meet the LEED silver standard, and to provide more opportunities for students to be exposed to and involved in the LEED certification process. Other workshop participants expect to earn their credential this spring.
