James Ebert, Paul Bischoff lead workshop at 123rd Conference of Science Teachers Association of NYS

James Ebert, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and Paul Bischoff, Secondary Education, along with Glenn Dolphin, University of Calgary, led a workshop entitled “New Models for Earth Science Concepts and Processes” at the 123rd Annual Conference of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS).

The STANYS conference was held in Rochester from November 2 through 5. Drs. Ebert, Bischoff and Dolphin are principal investigators on the NSF grant “GP-EXTRA: Authentic Research Experiences for Earth Science Education Majors.” The main presenters in the workshop were SUNY Oneonta students Melissa Amigon (AEES 2020), Madeline Every (AEES 2019), Sarah Jones (AEES 2018), Ryan Layman (AEES 2019) and SUNY Cortland student Brian Murphy (AEES 2019). These students have been participants in Summer Earth Science Model Research and Design Institutes supported by the NSF grant.
