The SUNY Oneonta NOYCE Scholars again offered another motivating session of Science Seminars as part of the Catskill Area School Study Council’s enrichment program here on campus this fall. This 4-week program offered hands-on exploration in the sciences for 14 students in grades 6 – 9. Each week, small teams of students explored contemporary and classical physics, biology, and earth science concepts through hands-on investigations. Challenging mathematics and analysis of data with computers were incorporated into the lessons. The program was taught by SUNY Oneonta students in the Noyce Scholars program who are training to be secondary science and math teachers with the leadership of Dr. Paul Biscoff and Dr. Paul French. Student instructors were: Julieanne Sullivan, Melissa Amigon, Ashley Jones, Nicole Javely, Madeline Every, Christian Jenne, Adriana Perretta, Devin Scott, Johanna Weidenhamer and Natasha Hakim.
