Paul Bauer presents in Switzerland, Rochester

On Nov. 16, economics professor Paul Bauer presented “Timing Is Everything: How a U.S. Payment Regulation Helped Overcome a Network Barrier without a Mandate” (coauthored with Geoffrey Gerdes, Federal Reserve Board) at the Bank of International Settlements’ Economics of Payments IX conference in Basel, Switzerland. Earlier in the semester he presented, “How Long Did the Legacy of Slavery Adversely Impact the Economic Performance of Former Slave States?” at the New York State Economic Association’s annual conference in Rochester, NY.
