College Camp to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with stories and music

Celebrate National Native American Heritage Month at the SUNY Oneonta College Camp on Saturday, Nov. 17 with “Native American Stories, Music &  Drumming.”

Beginning at 2 p.m., Chief Roger Longtoe Sheehan and elder JT Taylor of the El Nu Abenaki tribe will share their culture and perspective through traditional stories, music and drumming. This family-friendly event is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be available, so please join us by the warmth of the fire for this unique afternoon event.

The College Camp entrance, located off of Upper East Street in the town of Oneonta, is approximately one mile from the intersection of Bugbee Road and East Street. For more information, call 607 435-3455 prior to the day of the event.
