Reminder for today’s Cornell-Gladstone-Hanlon-Kaufmann lecture, activities

REMINDER: The 2018 Cornell-Gladstone-Hanlon-Kaufmann (CGHK) Lecture in Environmental Education and Communication will be held Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m. in the Hunt Union Ballroom. A dessert reception will follow. This year’s lecture entitled “POWERING THE PLANET: THE GOOD NEWS ON ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT” will be delivered by distinguished speaker Dr. Richard Alley, Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences and Associate, Earth & Environmental Systems Institute, Penn State University.

The campus community is also invited to interact with Dr. Alley in two smaller, less formal group opportunities on Wednesday:

1) 10:00–~10:50 AM: Rachel Kornhauser (Sustainability Coordinator) will lead a tour highlighting campus sustainability initiatives; meet in the lobby of Wilsbach Dining Hall

2) 2:45–4:00 PM: Join Dr. Alley and members of the CGHK planning committee for an informal Meet & Greet session in the Hunt Union Living Room (outside Starbucks); enjoy a coffee or tea, compliments of Sodexo
