Traci Michele Johnson wins Outstanding Part-Time Instructor award

Dr. James E. Mackin, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, is pleased to announce that Traci Michele Johnson, Adjunct Lecturer in the Foreign Languages & Literatures Department, has won the Simphiwe Hlatshwayo Award for Outstanding Part-time Instructor.

This award was created by the College Senate to recognize outstanding adjunct instructors as well as to encourage excellence in teaching. Named to honor the memory of Simphiwe Hlatshwayo, a SUNY Oneonta graduate from South Africa who also taught at SUNY Oneonta, first as an adjunct and later as an assistant professor, the award comes with a $500 cash prize.

Ms. Johnson will be receiving her award during the Community of Scholars Reception on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. at the Otsego Grille in Morris Conference Center. All are welcome to attend.
