As we roll into August, the SUNY Pride Planning Committee has some updates to share for this year’s event.
First, we are excited to announce our Keynote very soon, so please stay tuned!
Second, we would like to announce that registration for the conference will be live starting August 20. Details on prices are on the website. From attendee feedback, we’ve changed it up a bit for this year; in the past, the SUNY Oneonta community has attended for free, but due to rising conference costs, you’ll notice that we are now charging SUNY Oneonta students and employees in order to maintain overall low costs. If students have Dragon Dollars, they can be used to pay for registration as an alternative credit cards/checks. To pay with Dragon Dollars, please direct students to register with the staff at the Info Desk in Hunt Union.
Third, we are inviting departments and offices on campus to become co-sponsors for the conference this year. If you are interested in sponsoring, please contact Emily Phelps (Emily.Phelps@oneonta.edu or x3019). Sponsors will be included on marketing materials and in the program booklet. Sponsors can assist with speaker costs, supplies, and helping off-campus attendees (i.e. JobCorps, local GSAs, etc.) with registration.
Fourth, as a reminder, we have introduced a professional track to this year’s conference. If you would like more information about presentation proposals and/or the professional track, please check out the website or contact Emily, Faith Tiemann (Faith.Tiemann@oneonta.edu), or Greg Hummel (Greg.Hummel@oneonta.edu). Presentation proposals are due September 10.
