Dr. Gregory Fulkerson attended the Rural Sociological Society meetings in Portland, Oregon, July 26 – July 29. He organized and moderated a session titled “Urban-Rural Dynamics: Examining Linkages.” He also presented a paper, “How Generalizable are Social Capital Theories Designed for the Core of the World System? An Examination of the Causes of Social Capital in a Rural, Islands Hinterland Region.”
Dr. Fida Mohammad of Sociology Department was invited to give a presentation on the subject of “Business Values and Child Labor,” sponsored by Employer Foundation of Pakistan in Collaboration with ILO, EU and KPK Department of Labor and HR. He presented at Pearl Continental Hotel, Peshawar, KPK, in Pakistan on July 10, 2018.
