Creative Writing for Adults
Wednesdays – 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Fitzelle Hall, Room 302
A great opportunity for anyone who would like to write, but has difficulty getting started. This introductory workshop invites adults to put their life experiences or words of wisdom down on paper. Using fun and easy prompts, students will learn to express themselves in the form of their choice: fiction, personal narrative or memoir – all are welcome. Exercises will stir the imagination and become a launching pad for creative self-expression. Through writings by various authors, we will discuss voice, point of view and where inspiration comes from. Must be 18 years or older.
Bring a ruled notebook and pen or pencil to class.

Summer Slow Flow Yoga
Wednesdays – 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Hunt College Union, Cafe Union Square
Put yourself first, and sign up for this gentle flowing class, in which we move through poses, usually holding a pose for 15-20 seconds.  Emphasis is on slow movement through the available range of motion, gradually building strength and flexibility.  Participants bring their own mat, wear stretch clothing and are comfortable with moving from a standing position to the floor and back up again. Occasionally we will use props such as chairs, blocks and straps (all provided by instructor, but wonderful if some participants can bring their own).
This class is beneficial for beginning and intermediate yoga students.
