The Office of Continuing Education is offering spring yoga and an interesting and fun Trans Dance and Music three-part course series for all to participate in! Please see the details and descriptions of each course below:
CHAIR YOGA Starts March 5, don’t miss out!
A very gentle, beginner’s class in which we use the chair for support through all poses, either standing next to the chair or sitting in it. Emphasis is on exploring range of motion; breathing exercises; and developing greater flexibility.
All levels of experience are welcome!
12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Morris Conference Center
This is an 8-week, Monday afternoon class.
Spring Class dates:
SLOW FLOW YOGA
Put yourself first, and use your lunch hour wisely! Sign up for this gentle, flowing class in which we move through poses, usually holding a pose for 15-20 seconds. Emphasis is on slow movement through the available range of motion, gradually building strength and flexibility.
This Yoga class was designed for two people to experience a gentle yoga practice with each other’s support and encouragement – what a wonderful way to deepen a friendship, a love relationship, or a parent-child connection. Poses are easy and fun; there’s a lot of laughter in this class! Suitable for friends, couples and parents with children who are at least 14 years old. Wear comfortable, stretch clothing and bring a mat.
This class is really fun and will have you wanting to come back for more! Try it out and see for yourself.
All levels of experience are welcome.
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Morris Conference Center
