On-campus Martin Luther King Jr. celebration planned

The Office of Alumni Engagement and The Office of Equity and Inclusion invite you to join us for our Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., annual celebration event on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. in the CME Great Room.

Our guest keynote is Karim Adeen-Hasan ‘77, Assistant Comptroller in the Division of Diversity Management at the Office of the State Comptroller, and a graduate from the SUNY Oneonta Class of 1977. The topic will be “Millenials: The Voice of Activism” and he will discuss the power that students have to make change in our ever-changing world.

Adeen-Hasan will also reflect on his time as a student on campus and the activism that took place while he was a part of the EOP Program at SUNY Oneonta.

Light refreshments will be served, and students will receive LEAD credit for attending. If you have any questions, please contact Faith Tiemann at faith.tiemann@oneonta.edu
