Sixteen area school students gathered for four Saturday mornings during the Fall 2017 Lego Robotics Enrichment Seminar at SUNY Oneonta. Students in grades 7-9 traveled from seven area schools to work alongside SUNY Oneonta Physics & Astronomy students to learn and play with Lego Mindstorm Robots, which were provided courtesy of the Oneonta Physics & Astronomy Department.
During this robotics-themed session, students worked in pairs supervised by the college students under the leadership of Dr. Hugh A. Gallagher. The program is a collaboration between SUNY Oneonta’s Physics & Astronomy Department and the Catskill Area School Study Council. The goal is to provide regional students opportunities to deepen their interest in STEM.
