Big O’ Poetry Slam 154

UPDATE: Due to low response The Duo No-Holds-Bar Faculty Poetry Slam has been changed to an Open Slam w/ Cash Prize- on Wednesday December 6th at 8pm in the Waterfront Room, Hunt College Union. The slam is limited to the first 10 poets who sign up at the stage. Our feature poet is Kevin Kantor a spoken word poet, actor, teaching artist, & queer agent for social change. They are the founder & former artistic director of Greeley, Colorado’s SOAPbox Productions, a theatre company & poetry venue dedicated to furthering conversations that are politically engaged & culturally conscious through live performance art. Understanding Race series

The Anthropology Department is pleased to announce the next installment of the #Understanding Race series. On Tuesday, December 12 (Study Day), the department will host a virtual exhibit on “Race: Are We So Different?” The exhibit will be held in the Anthropology Teaching Gallery –on the first floor of Physical Sciences. Drop by between 2:00 and 4:00pm to view the exhibit and enjoy study snacks. Free and open to all! This event is sponsored by the Anthropology Department and the Provost’s Office.
