On Sunday, November 5th we will once again “fall back” one hour at 2AM as Daylight Saving Time 2017 ends. Unfortunately the Time & Attendance System will not automatically make the adjustment on your timesheet. For employees in CSEA, PEF, PBANYS, NYSCOPBA, as well as our Student Employees, please be sure to enter your time in/out at the end of your shift Saturday/Sunday without calculating in the extra hour. The Division of Finance and Administration is pleased to announce that on October 10, 2017, Rachel Kornhauser started as the Sustainability Coordinator. Her office is located at 216 Hunt Union on the second floor. Rachel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science from Binghamton University and a Master of Arts degree from Hunter College. Having been an adjunct instructor teaching environmental science on the SUNY Oneonta campus, Rachel is familiar with our campus. Rachel is passionate about sustainability and working with students, and will continue to help the campus enhance its efforts in this regard.
Native American Storyteller: Saturday, November 18th at the SUNY Oneonta College Camp Hear the stories of the Abenaki people when Chief Roger Longtoe Sheehan presents, “Abenaki Myths & Legends” on Saturday, November 18th at 7 PM in the lodge of the SUNY Oneonta College Camp. Along with the many stories, Chief Longtoe will drum and sing traditional Abenaki songs as part of his presentation. Longtoe, chief of the El Nu Abenaki of Vermont, has been a featured presenter in the past and all are welcome to this program. The SUNY Oneonta College Camp is located off of Upper East Street in the town of Oneonta approximately one mile from the intersection of Bugbee Rd. and East Street. SUNY Oneonta Swim Team’s NCAA Champions are coaching hour long swimming lessons for ages 4-16 from beginner strokes to competitive advantages.
