The Catskill Area School Study Council announces the Enrichment Seminar Program for the fall semester will being on October 14, 2017. The objective of the program, which is in its 59th continuous year, is to enhance the intellectual horizons of students in grade 3-12 by offering stimulating experiences in in courses not offered by their own schools. Classes are held on the campus of the State University College at Oneonta, on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
The elementary and middle school classes will meet on October 14, 21, 28, and November 4. Courses for students include: Just Dance!, Cool Science Lab, A Discovery Approach to Math & Science, Sew Much Fun, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Scrapbookers and Storytellers, Babysitting Training and Hands-on Lego Mindstorm Robotics.
There is also a six-week S.A.T. Preparation Course for students in grade 10-12, which begins October 14th and ends November 18th.
The deadline to register is October 4, 2017. Students must register through their school district’s guidance office, and the districts must be members of the Catskill Area School Study Council in order for their students to participate.
