UUP Canoe Paddle: Saturday, September 9 at 2 PM

UUP has rescheduled its 2017 canoe/kayak paddle to Saturday, September 9 at 2 PM. The purpose is three-fold—raise public commitment to protecting our regional water resources, encourage participation in the recreational opportunities afforded us, build solidarity, and have a great time. Skill level or lack thereof is irrelevant to participation.
The paddle will be non-competitive, open to the family and friends of UUP, publicized, approximately 4 miles round trip, start and return from the fishing/boat access in Portlandville on Route 28, just before the right turn/across the bridge turn to Wrightman Lumber on Route 25A. Lot and street parking is available. For those who would like to participate but don’t have a boat or life jacket, canoe/kayak rentals and mandatory life jackets are available immediately adjacent to the public fishing/boat access at Canoe & Kayak Rental and Sales at 2828 NYS Route 28, Portlandville, NY (607-286-7349).
