The goal of this committee is to increase the recruitment and retention of students of color in the SUNY Oneonta education program by creating an organization that offers focused faculty support.

Recruitment for the faculty-led committee will begin this Fall 2017 semester.

The committee will begin its work in the Spring 2018 semester. Faculty members will be paid a $500 stipend each semester.

New York City Bus Trip to the 2017 Radio City Christmas Spectacular

Please join us on a bus trip to NYC to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. The trip is on Saturday, November 11. The cost is $121.00 per person and includes bus transportation and ticket to the show. The show will be at 11:00 am and you will have free time in the afternoon. The bus will depart from SUNY Oneonta at 6:00 am and depart NYC at 6:00 pm. If you are interested, please contact Kelly Spettel for reservations by September 30 – or 436-3488.


Join in for the annual tradition of “Pass Through the Pillars” on August, 27.


All faculty and staff are invited to attend the campus tradition of Pass Through the Pillars on Sunday, August 27 starting at 7pm in the upper quad by the Pillars. Please join in to clap, cheer and welcome our incoming students as they walk through the Pillars of Old Main and start their journey as Red Dragons! An ice cream social will be held immediately afterward, along with activities presented by New Student Services. If you have any questions or wish to volunteer for the event, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at x2526.

No Mail Delivery On Wednesday August 23rd

Mail and packages will not be delivered on Wednesday, August 23rd due to Move-In day traffic. If you are in need of something to be delivered to you that day or need something to be mailed out that day, please call us at ext. 3350 and we will make special arrangements.
