The 2017 Cornell-Gladstone-Hanlon-Kaufmann (CGHK) Lecture on Environmental Education and Communication will be held on Wednesday, October 25. Dr. David Inouye has been named the 2017 CGHK distinguished speaker. Dr. Inouye’s research interests include phenology in the context of climate change, pollination biology, plant demography, plant-ant mutualisms, and the behavior and ecology of bumblebees. He is the author/co-author of over 100 publications (books, book chapters, refereed journal articles). The lecture will be held in the Hunt Ballroom at 7:00 pm. Julie Dostal, adjunct lecturer in Human Ecology and executive director of Oneonta’s LEAF, the addiction-fighting organization, has been selected as a 2017 New York State Senate “Woman of Distinction.”
She will be honored on May 9 at an Albany reception at the Capitol along with other “Women of Distinction” from across the state.
