Relethford publishes article in American Journal of Physical Anthropology

John Relethford, Anthropology, has published an article entitled “Comparison of observed and expected levels of genetic diversity based on surname frequencies: An example from historical Massachusetts” in the recent issue of the American Journal of Physical Anthropology (163: 200-204, 2017). This paper compares observed and expected measures of surname diversity (used as proxy measures for likely levels of genetic diversity) and explores how demographic change affects this relationship over time.
