Tyra A. Olstad publishes entry in International Encyclopedia of Geography

Tyra A. Olstad, Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability, wrote the entry on “Ecoregions” for the newly-released International Encyclopedia of Geography: People, the Earth, Environment, and Technology. ( The encyclopedia, which covers more than a thousand topics in physical geography, human geography, geospatial technology, earth studies, and environmental science, involved input from more than 900 scholars from around the world. Its release was celebrated at the meeting of the American Association of Geographers in Boston, MA, 5-9 April.



The last day to sign up for an appointment with a peer tutor at CADE will be April 19 at 4:00 p.m.  Appointment-based tutoring is provided for many 100- and 200-level courses for which CADE does not provide drop-in tutoring. Tutoring appointments made before April 19 will meet until finals week.  You may sign up at

In addition to appointment-based tutoring (for which you need to apply as described above), CADE offers drop-in peer tutoring, which covers several courses in Accounting, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Math, Physics, Psychology, and Statistics.  See the CADE website for specific courses and times for drop-in tutoring. Drop-in tutoring will continue through May 4.
