Continuing Education Non-Credit Classes

The Office of Continuing Education is offering 2 non-credit Yoga courses this Spring. These courses are designed to help us, or someone we may know find that physical or mental state of well being.

Chair Yoga with Arlana

A very gentle, beginner’s class in which we use the chair for support through all poses, either standing next to the chair or sitting in it.  Emphasis is on exploring range of motion; breathing exercises; and developing greater flexibility.  No mat needed, just comfortable, stretch clothing.  Excellent class for those with injuries, stiffness, or decreased mobility due to surgery; this class can be done in a wheelchair.

All levels of experience are welcome!

10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Morris Conference Center

This is an 8 week Wednesday Morning class and will be held on the following Wednesdays:
4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, and 5/24

Fee: $80.00

Hatha Yoga II with Valerie

Hatha Yoga helps build awareness of your body and mind while gently stretching and strengthening. Hatha is a slow-paced and gentle Yoga that provides a basic introduction to Yoga poses.
Please do not wear any perfumes or scented lotions as some people are very sensitive to these.
Wear unrestrictive, comfortable clothing. Bring a mat and water and please avoid eating prior to each class. Practicing barefoot is preferred.

All levels of experience are welcome!

6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Morris Conference Center

This is an 8 week class and will be held on the following Tuesdays:

5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30, 6/6, 6/13, 6/20 and 6/27

Fee: $72.00
