SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association September 11 Memorial Scholarship application available

The SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association is offering annual scholarships to honor the seven alumni who died during the tragic events at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The scholarships will be awarded for the 2017-2018 academic year to full-time SUNY Oneonta students who demonstrate leadership and good citizenship. Selection will be based upon a variety of criteria, including financial need, leadership, citizenship, and other contributions to the quality of life at SUNY Oneonta. For detailed application requirements, please click here.  A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required and the recipient must have paid the Undergraduate Alumni Fee.

 The application is available now on the Alumni Association website.  Students have until April 1, 2017 to submit a complete application. Recipients will be selected by a committee of Alumni Association Board members and will be required to participate in SUNY Oneonta’s 9/11 Memorial Ceremony. Seven scholarships will be awarded at $1,500 each for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

 

EAP’s Healthy Eating and Living Program (HELP!)

The next meeting of the Healthy Eating and Living Program (HELP!)  is scheduled for March 15, 2017 at noon in the Hunt Union Butternut Valley Room.  Dr. Bill Proulx will be speaking to us about Healthy Eating and Food Myths. We will have fruited ice-water and some healthy treats to share. All are welcome to attend.  If you have a great healthy recipe to share, bring it to the meeting or post it to our Facebook Page at

Attendees will receive a measuring tape, a salad shaker, and weight tracker.
