Coffee with the President

President Kleniewski has scheduled a series of coffee hours at Fitzelle Hall this semester to chat informally with members of the campus community. Look for her in the Fitzelle atrium from 9 until 10:30 a.m. on the following Thursdays: Jan. 26. Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23. Mar. 2, 16, 23. Apr. 6, 13, 20, 27. A complimentary beverage from Seasons Café will be offered to all who join the conversation.


HATHA YOGA with Valerie
Tuesdays – 6:00 PM-7:00 PM

Hatha Yoga helps build awareness of your body and mind while gently stretching and strengthening. Hatha is a slow-paced and gentle Yoga that provides a basic introduction to Yoga poses. All levels of experience are welcome. Please do not wear any perfumes or scented lotions as some people are very sensitive to these. Wear unrestrictive, comfortable clothing. Bring a mat and water and please avoid eating prior to each class. Practicing barefoot is preferred. Please contact Rebecca Lynch in the Office of Continuing Education at x2690 with any questions.

This is a 10 week class and will be held on the following Tuesdays:

1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/4, & 4/11

Racial Equity Institute Workshop

SUNY Oneonta is sponsoring its 6th phase 1 Racial Equity Institute Workshop, underwritten by a StAR grant.  Over 140 people from both SUNY and the local community have attended already; this is not your typical one-time diversity workshop.  The training will be held on January 27 & 28, 2017 – Friday and Saturday – all day each day.  Your commitment would be to attend the 2 day training, in full.  Ongoing options beyond January include participation in caucuses designed to deepen our understanding and plan how to become an anti-racist community.  Seats are limited.  If you are interested, please RSVP no later than January 20 to Kelly Spettel at
