The students from FASH 222 Apparel Design-Flat Pattern volunteered a “Tote Bag” project for the Otsego County on November 2, 2016. Students made up to 50 tote bags for Family Service Association (FSA) under the Otego County Conservation Association (OCCA) on November 22, 2016 just before the Thanksgiving break.
Professor Kim’s enthusiasm for this project was highly motivated by being able to help the community and creating a new course, “Sustainable Fashion.” Professor Kim has been developing a new sustainable course for the fashion and textile department in which students will be able to use their sewing abilities to help the community . Professor Kim will be meeting with the FSA members at their next meeting to figure out other projects that fashion students will be able to get involved with.Read More »
