SUNY Oneonta Sings! From this House to the World – 12/7

In an effort to seek meaningful engagement with people unlike ourselves, the SUNY Oneonta Concert Choir and VOCI will present a performance entitled From this House to the World on Wednesday, December 7th, at 7:30 in the Hunt Union Ballroom. The performance will feature music from Singapore, New Zealand, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Latvia, Norway, Syria, Italy, the UK, and the US.

CASSC to offer SAT Prep

CASSC will be offering SAT prep for four Saturdays beginning January 21st and ending February 11th. This is a great opportunity for your student to get direct instruction and preparation tips and tricks as your student prepares for college. Deadline to register is January 10th. CASSC and the SUNY Oneonta Noyce Scholars to offer Science Saturdays!

The Catskill Area School Study Council, along with SUNY Oneonta’s Noyce Scholars, will be hosting Science Seminars.  Each week small teams of students will explore contemporary and classical physical and biological science concepts through hands-on investigations.  Potential topics include sound, light, waves, electricity, magnetism, and chemistry, with possible excursions into the Fibonacci spiral, biology, and/or plate tectonics. Challenging mathematics will be incorporated into each lesson. All sessions will include discussion of career pathways within the topics studied. Class size is limited to 18 students. The deadline to register is January 10th. Yuletide Celebration at the SUNY Oneonta College Camp

Join us for this year’s YULETIDE CELEBRATION at the SUNY Oneonta College Camp on Sunday, December 11th from 1 to 4 PM.  Meet at the lodge for an afternoon of family oriented fun.  The program will begin at 1 PM with the hunt for the yule log.  Once the log is discovered and the yule fire begun an afternoon of crafts and projects for you to make and enjoy will begin.  Free refreshments will be provided and everyone is welcome.  The College Camp is located off of Upper East Street in the town of Oneonta; approximately one mile from the intersection of Bugbee Rd. & East Street.  For more information call 436-3455.
