Dr. Toke Knudsen, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, gave a talk at Villanova University for the Philadelphia Area Seminar on the History of Mathematics on October 20, 2016. The talk, which was entitled “The Geometry of Reality: Johannes Hjelmslev and the Pedagogical Debates on the Teaching of Geometry in 20th-Century Denmark,” was based on research done by Dr. Knudsen while on sabbatical during the 2015-16 academic year.
