The Senate-appointed Applied Learning Task Force (ALTF) is charged with facilitating development of a campus plan regarding applied learning (AL), as required by the SUNY Board of Trustees. The ALTF is currently working on SUNY Parts V-VII, and information is being gathered with two purposes in mind. First, every SUNY college is required to decide whether or not to create an AL graduation requirement. Second, each SUNY college must report to SUNY the approved AL activities it offers each year. (Note: a link to relevant AL documents, including the Parts I-IV reports submitted to SUNY last spring, is available on the College Senate website.)
We need the input, concerns and ideas of AL stakeholders from across academic and administrative units in this monumental campus task and ultimate decision. A series of DROP-IN INFO/Q&A sessions are scheduled to answer your questions, provide more information, and facilitate discussion. We urge you to stop by one, two or all of the following sessions, to be held in Hunt Union’s Living Room area (outside Starbucks):
- Tuesday 10/25 from 8:30-9:30 am
- Wednesday 10/26 from 9:00-10:00 am
- Monday 10/31 from 1:00-2:00 pm
