The Seminar Series in Biology presents:
“From Crayons of Population Genetics to Laser Printers of Genomics,” presented by Uzay Sezen, Ph.D., University of Connecticut. Dr. Sezen’s research focus is the genomics and transcriptomics of trees. In the presentation he will explain how his research program has benefited from genomic and transcriptomic tools in my research with examples including a tropical palm tree, an African grain crop and its wild-relatives and conifers of North America.
This seminar is hosted by the Biology Department and will take place 4 pm Friday October 21st in Science I room 121.
About this seminar series: This series is offered several times throughout the semester to provide our student community with opportunities to learn about scientific research and professions. Speakers may include our own department faculty or students, as well as biologists and other professionals from elsewhere. All are welcome.
