Dr. Penina Kamina Presents at a Conference in Atlanta, Georgia

Dr. Penina Kamina presented and participated at the 9th Kenya Scholars and Studies Association (www.kessa.org) conference held September 9-10, 2016, in Atlanta as well as networking with other professionals in attendance. Her Strides and Next Steps in Kenyan Mathematics Curriculum presentation recommends non-tertiary curriculum revisions that incorporate relevant local and 21st Century mathematical knowledge and skills for its graduates. She co-presented Capacity Building in Scholarship and Research with a peer colleague from California State University San Marcos, which looked at the research activities they have engaged in since 2010 to date in two Kenyan universities. Lastly she co-presented Landing an Academic Job and Keeping it: Working Strategies with colleagues from Texas Tech University, Wright State University and University of North Alabama.
