The Catskill Area School Study Council announces the Enrichment Seminar Program for the fall semester will begin on October 8, 2016. The objective of the program, which is in its 58th continuous year, is to enhance the intellectual horizons of students in grade 3-12 by offering stimulating experiences in courses not offered by their own schools. Classes are held on the campus of the State University College at Oneonta on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
The elementary and middle school classes will meet on October 8, 15, 22, and 29. Courses for younger students include: Just Dance!, Yoga for Beginners, Cool Science Lab, Arts & Crafts, French/Spanish Language and Cultures, and Dr. Seuss Seminar. Courses for older elementary and middle school students include: Babysitting Training, Mad Scientists’ Method, and Spanish Immersion (Intermediate).
There is also a six-week S.A.T. Preparation Course for students in grade 10-12, which begins October 8th and ends November 12th.
The deadline to register is September 28, 2016. Students must register through their school district’s guidance office, and the districts must be members of the Catskill Area School Study Council in order for their students to participate.
