Important Information from Student Employment Services Regarding Posting Jobs for Students

To all Student Employee Supervisors,

With a new academic year right around the corner, Student Employment Services at the Career Development Center would like to remind all student employee supervisors to submit student temporary-service job vacancies to be advertised on DragonLink.

Due to the several benefits of Dragonlink to students and on-campus departments, we strongly encourage supervisors to make job vacancies visible to all students. First, when posting jobs on Dragonlink, departments have a chance to clarify to candidates their expectations and the nature of the job even before students apply. A through job description helps supervisors with finding qualified candidates, and also helps students maintain their performance and expectations of the job after hiring! Second, posting job opportunities gives supervisors a chance to reach a large pool of qualified candidates. Finally, job vacancy posting is extremely important for the student community because the process of advertising gives equal access to job opportunities to ALL students.

Posting a job through Dragonlink is simple! Please complete and submit the Part-Time Job Vacancy Form to Student Employment Services at the Career Development Center, 110 Netzer Administration Building. If you have questions related to Dragonlink or the student employment process, please contact Anna Legname, Student Employment Coordinator by calling x 2534 or by email

Student Employment Services at SUNY Oneonta follows the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Ethical and Legal Standards in Student Hiring. For more information, please refer to the Faculty Guide:
