Brian Lowe Publishes in Albany Government Review

Brian M. Lowe (Sociology) published “Spectacular Animal Law: Imagery, Morality and Narratives Impacting Legal Outcomes for Nonhuman Animals” in the Albany Government Law Review. This issue, “Four-Legged Clients: The Place of Animals in Our Lives and the Law”, is devoted to legal questions about deploying law to protect animals. Eric Aquino, a 2012 graduate of SUNY Oneonta (Criminal Justice), is Managing Editor of Submissions for the Albany Government Law Review, and solicited authors and articles for this issue. The Introduction was written by New York State Assemblyman Jim Tedisco, an advocate of expanding criminal penalties for animal abuse and a co-organizer of the Annual New York State Animal Advocacy Day.
