Thinking of retiring in the next five to ten years—or twenty years? Ideally effective retirement planning begins decades before the event. UUP and SUNY Oneonta Human Resources are co-sponsoring a Food for Thought on Tuesday, April 19 at noon at the Le Café in Morris Hall that will cover what you need to know long before you decide to retire. Complimentary lunch will be provided. A panel will present “DIY” (Do It Yourself) retirement and cover the “how tos” of retiring.
Walter Apple, State UUP Benefit Specialist for retirees, will cover retiree benefits.
Dennis Higgins, a recent UUP retiree, will talk about thoughts which lead to his retirement and give some hints on how to have a successful and happy retirement.
Dr. Bill O’Dea, Economics and Business Department, will pose questions to ask your financial planner or banker regarding finances.
Senior Personnel Associate – Benefits Administrator Gail Feuer will walk attendees through the nitty gritty of retiring.
A question and answer period will follow.
Interested in attending? E-mail UUP at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 436-2135 to register. As accurate numbers are needed, let UUP know if your plans change, so the food order can be adjusted.
