Tropical Fruits Day – April 1

The Biology Department is hosting a Tropical Fruits Day on Friday April 1.   The event is open to the college community (kids welcome too) to taste, smell, nibble or be inspired by the bounty of the tropics. Over two dozen different foods will be available to taste, and plants of Breadfruit, Allspice, Monstera, and other food plants from our greenhouse will be on display.  The event will be held in Room 110 of Science I from 11am to 4pm.   In addition to Sugar Cane, Lychee, Baobab, Dragon Fruit, Guava, Cassava, Taro and many tasty items, we will open a Durian—an unusually smelly “treat” from SE Asia.  For information contact
