Orientation Outreach Coordinator Summer Position Available

The Department of New Student Services at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Orientation Outreach Coordinator (summer only). Expectations are to enhance the communication processes to our incoming students.  To learn more about the College, please visit www.oneonta.edu.

Duties include but not limited to:  assisting with Orientation Mentor (OM) training; supervising OMs during evening outreach hours; serving as liaison with other offices in maintaining database updates; implementing social media plan; assisting with website development; performing administrative tasks such as managing new student folders, nametags etc.; assisting with creation of Orientation Leader handbook. This staff member will likely work a split work schedule with both daytime and evening hours. There may also be Sunday afternoon or evening outreach event(s) planned in collaboration with the Director. This position will start on June 6, 2016 and run through July 27, 2016.

Required qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree; experience within the student services functions at SUNY Oneonta or other similar institution; knowledge of Adobe Suite of products.

Preferred:  Master’s degree in higher education or related field, experience working with and serving diverse populations.
