March 21 Panel Discussion: Women in the Social and Natural Sciences

The successes and challenges of supporting and promoting women’s participation in the social and natural sciences will be the topic of a panel discussion on Monday, March 21 at 4pm in CME/Lee Hall. The panel will feature guest speaker Dr. Robin Nelson, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Skidmore College, who co-authored a 2014 PLOS One study on gendered experiences of harassment and assault during scientific fieldwork. Other panelists will include faculty and students in Anthropology, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, and Women’s & Gender Studies. Light refreshments will be served.

Presented by the Departments of Anthropology, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, and Women’s & Gender Studies with support from the Public Events Committee and Triota: The Women’s & Gender Studies Honor Society.
